All GHS events for Jan. 30 have been canceled. Today's game versus Union has been moved to Thursday, Feb. 11. Games will begin at 4 p.m.

Wednesday (2/3/2010)
CCMS 8th grade girls- 5:15 PM at Jasper Middle School
GMS 8th grade girls- 4:00 PM at Jasper Middle School

Thursday (2/4/2010)
CCMS 8th grade boys- 5:15 PM at Pickens County Middle School
GMS 8th grade boys- 4:00 PM at Pickens County Middle School

2nd round will be played on Friday (2/5/2010) at both gyms. Any winner Monday - Thursday will play on Friday. Times and location- TBA

Championship games will be Saturday at Jasper Middle School:

All County Activities Postponed

All GHS basketball games scheduled for Friday, Jan. 29, have been moved to Thursday, Feb. 4. The JV boys will begin at 4 p.m. and the varsity will follow.

The Burnt Mountain Wrestling Classic scheduled for Jan. 29-30 in Pickens has been canceled.

The middle school basketball tournament has been postponed and will now be played on Monday, Feb. 1. Schedule TBA.

Middle School Tournament Schedule

All four Gilmer County middle school teams will be in action Friday and Saturday in the Mountain League Basketball Championships to be held at Jasper and Pickens Middle schools.

The boys’ teams will play all their games at Pickens Middle School and the girls will play at Jasper Middle School.

Friday’s schedule:

GMS 7^th grade girls vs. Jasper - 5:15 p.m.

CCMS 7^th grade boys vs. Jasper – 5:15 p.m.

CCMS 7^th grade girls vs. Riverview – 6:30 p.m.

GMS 7^th grade boys vs. Pickens – 6:30 p.m.

Saturday’s schedule:

GMS 8^th grade girls vs. Pickens – 10 a.m.

CCMS 8^th grade boys vs. Dawson – 11:15 a.m.

CCMS 8^th grade girls vs. Jasper – 11:15 a.m.

GMS 8^th grade boys vs. Riverview or Dawson – 10 a.m.

Winning teams will continue play next week.
