The Gilmer boys opened the Region Tournament with a 3-1 victory over East Hall.
Winning matches for the boys were:
#2 Singles Caleb Adams , #3 Singles Will Govus, and #2 Doubles Zach Pritchett/Spencer Morris
#1 Doubles Nick Pritchett/Parker Johnson dropped their match.
#1 Singles Derek Hyatt had won his first set and was up 3-1 in the 2nd set when the Bobcats secured the victory with their 3rd point.

In the 2nd round the Bobcats were eliminated by West Hall 4-0.
Derek Hyatt was down 6-3, 3-0 to Worth when the match was secured by West Hall
Caleb Adams went down to Kincaid 6-0, 6-2
Will Govus dropped his match to Burgamy 6-1, 6-0
#1 Doubles Nick Pritchett/Parker Johnson were beat 6-0, 6-0 by Weatherly/Mcfall
#2 Doubles Spencer Morris/Corey James lost to Turner/Johnson 6-2, 6-1


The Gilmer girls opened the Region Tournament by beating Pickens for the 3rd straight time this year. They won 3-1 in match play.
Anna Woodring over Keeter 6-0, 6-0
Danielle Armour over Jordan 6-3, 6-0
Claudia Penland over Garner 6-3, 6-4
Anna Hensley/Ryan Morris were defeated by Callahan/Padgett 6-1, 7-6 (7-2)
Courtney Sandford/Carey Holzworth were at 7-5, 4-6, 2-2 when Gilmer secured their 3rd point.

In the 2nd round the girls dropped their match to Flowery Branch 3-1
Anna Woodring won over Ramey 6-0, 6-1. Anna ended the season undefeated at 16-0 for the season.
Danielle Armour dropped her match to Grewett 6-3, 6-2
Anna Hensley/Ryan Morris lost to Mallory/Price 6-3, 6-1
Courtney Sanford/Carey Holzworth lost to Shaw/Reed 6-1, 6-2
Claudia Penland was down to Ruiz 6-2, 3-2 when Flowery Branch secured the 3rd point.

The girls end the season at 12-4.

The GHS girls tennis team swept Fannin 5-0 in match play. The girls complete the regular season at 11-3. Region Tournament will be Thursday and Friday at Alberta Banks Park in Gainesville.

The GHS boys tennis team were edged by Fannin 3-2.
